Adding the LastPass Extension to Safari
For instructions on activating your LastPass account and signing in, please see Activating LastPass. (opens in new tab)
The instructions below apply to Apple's Safari browser. For other browsers, see the links at the end of the Activating LastPass article, above.
1. Open the Apple App Store by clicking on its icon.
2. Search for LastPass.
3. Click on Get next to the app's listing.
4. Click on Install.
5. The App Store will require you to enter the email or phone number associated with your Apple Account along with your password.
6. Once the extension is downloaded, Install will change to Open on the App Store's window. You will also see a notification on your Safari browser. Click Turn on Extension.
7. Log into your LastPass account.
8. LastPass will then ask for a one-time multi-factor authentication (MFA) code. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device and enter the code shown.
NOTE: This will not be a push notification. Instead, you will need to go to the app on your mobile device to view the six-digit number.
9. Once you're logged in, click on the LastPass icon to the left of the browser's search field.
10. Set the websites you want LastPass to be able to access in Websites Requested, if desired.
11. Choose Always Allow on These Websites or Alway Allow on Every Website...
12. The red LastPass icon indicates that the extension is active.
